Choreography

Choreography is a marriage of music, rhythm and physical expression culminating in the creation of stories that provoke and enlighten. It is this storytelling element that has always fascinated me and kept me pushing the envelope in the work I create.

As every painter has a limitless palette to paint with, my dance background is both extensive and diverse, and has given me a wide array of styles to draw from, and many exciting shades of movement to breathe life into my pieces.

I have choreographed for both stage and the small screen in styles as varied as jazz, tap, modern, Latin, ballroom, hip hop and even Irish dance, and combining many of these styles with Ancient Egyptian Sacred Dance in my newest full-length dance theatre piece, Becoming Aphrodite.

A dance performance is about more than bodies moving randomly in space. it is a mirror of our life experience. It’s the physical expression of our emotional and spiritual journeys. It’s about weaving together myths that are larger than life and capturing life’s smallest, most precious moments so we can see our story told in ways that enlighten, touch and transform.
